Our client, the EU Agency eu-LISA, is currently recruiting for a full-time Network Engineer in Strasbourg, France, working onsite.

eu-LISA supports the implementation of the EU’s Justice and Home Affairs policies by managing large-scale IT systems.

About the Job
The Network and Communications Infrastructure Sector (NCIS) manages the design, operation, and upkeep of the networks that support eu-LISA’s justice and home affairs IT systems. As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for contributing to the engineering, operation and maintenance of IT network services.
The technical stack includes GitHub, GitOps, Terraform, Tufin, Cisco ACI, Check Point and Fortinet firewalls, HAProxy, and F5 load balancers.
What are Your tasks:
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
- Manage the full lifecycle of network services, covering capacity planning, upgrades, replacements, and continuous operation.
- Implement and maintain automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, GitOps, Terraform, Tufin) to streamline network operations.
- Monitor and secure the network environment, using tools to detect, prevent, and respond to threats while ensuring secure communication and data integrity.
- Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to align network solutions with business and security objectives.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, including network designs, operational procedures, and security configurations.
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement by identifying enhancements and sharing technical expertise within the team.
What is required of your profile:
- At least 3 years of professional experience to perform the duties in the areas described under “Your tasks”.
- University degree of at least three years.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (at least C1 level).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess technical challenges, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
- Effective planning and organization in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while ensuring service quality.
- Excellent collaboration skills, working well in cross-functional teams and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, adopting best practices to enhance efficiency, security, and reliability.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring compliance with security policies and ICT best practices.
- Client-focused mindset, anticipating needs and delivering timely, high-quality services.

- basic salary, including a 14% cost-of-living adjustment for France and a 16% expatriate allowance for non-French nationals living outside of France:
- €5551 (up to 5 years of experience)
- €6280 (more than 5 years of experience)
