Relocate to Hong Kong and join a growing tech-hub in the hedge fund industry.
You will be joining a growing technology team, contributing to the technology build out of the firm’s portfolio management system. There's already around 100 people in the HK office, but growing the technology team here is the priority for 2025.
As the firm trade more asset classes, the portfolio management system needs to grow to support them. You'll be building new systems and expanding current systems using C# and/or Java to do so.
The firm operates on a flat structure and they'll encourage you to work closely with business users, promoting autonomy and enabling the development of new systems to be seamless. You'll be able to learn more about the inner workings of the fund and understand exactly what the Portfolio Managers are doing day to day.
Communication and technical capability is the key here, you will be expected to be skilled in object orientated programming as well as have some expertise in SQL and Kafka amongst other data orchestration tools. The more experience with data tools, the better, but you'll also have a great chance to learn all kinds of new skills and technologies relating to data tech.
You'll need to be already seriously considering a move to Hong Kong, have lived and worked there before, or are a citizen. There's no specific compensation range on offer here as there's various levels to hire and they want the best people available. Your compensation will be made up of salary, sign-on and annual bonus. Relocation allowance will be baked into this.
