Role Description: Senior Web Developer
Residence Supply is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Senior Web Developer to bring our website to life. This fully remote role is ideal for a seasoned developer who thrives on crafting exceptional digital experiences. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our website, leveraging your expertise in Liquid, JavaScript, CSS, and full stack development to create and customize Shopify themes and apps. Your work will directly shape our digital presence, ensuring an engaging and seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Website Development & Maintenance: Build and maintain a high-performance, responsive website using Liquid, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Shopify Expertise: Design, create, and customize Shopify themes and develop custom Shopify apps to extend our digital functionality.
- UX/UI Integration: Collaborate with designers to convert innovative UX/UI designs into pixel-perfect, user-friendly interfaces.
- Performance & CRO Optimization: Monitor and optimize website performance to ensure fast load times and smooth user navigation. Proactively bring new, innovative ideas to implement weekly, enhancing conversion rate optimization across our digital channels.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with cross-functional teams—including marketing, creative, and product—to integrate new features and improvements; mentor junior developers to foster growth and excellence.
- Problem-Solving: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
- Innovation & Best Practices: Stay abreast of emerging web technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance our digital offerings.
Required Experience
- Proven Expertise: 5+ years of web development experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating advanced proficiency.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level skills in Liquid, JavaScript, and CSS, with hands-on experience in Shopify theme development and customization.
- Full Stack Knowledge: Solid understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies, with experience in creating and maintaining custom Shopify apps.
- UX/UI Insight: Demonstrated ability to integrate UX/UI best practices into web development.
- Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, essential for effective collaboration in a fully remote environment.
- Project Leadership: Proven track record in managing end-to-end web projects in fast-paced, DTC or e-commerce settings.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with additional frameworks or libraries such as React or Node.js.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and web analytics tools.
- Background in e-commerce development and conversion rate optimization.
- Prior work with DTC brands or within agile development environments.
