React Native Mobile developer in NIGERIA

About Us

NjiaHub is on a mission to empower consumers in Nigeria with the tools to make informed purchasing decisions. As we launch our first flagship project Maoni, we’re looking for a highly skilled Mid Level Full Stack Engineer with a strong focus on front-end development to join our dynamic team.

This role demands expertise in Java Script, React Native, and Expo. Backend development using Golang is a big Bonus. The ideal candidate is a team player with a passion for building scalable, user-centric applications and the ability to collaborate across multiple time zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Front-End Development:
• Design and development of responsive, cross-platform mobile applications using TypeScript, React Native, and Expo.
• Ensure a seamless user experience through high-quality UI/UX implementation.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and design teams to translate wireframes and mockups into functional applications.

• Collaboration & Communication:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other engineers.
• Collaborate effectively across time zones, ensuring timely progress and delivery.
• Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
• DevOps & Deployment:
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployment processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues in production environments.

RequirementsTechnical Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in mobile development.
• Expert-level experience with React Native CLI and Expo.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front-end workflows.
• Experience with mobile app optimization for performance and responsiveness.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable applications.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to work effectively across time zones.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver on deadlines.

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with performance monitoring tools like Sentry, New Relic, or similar.
• Experience working in startup environments.
