The Company:
Our client is a high-growth digital asset exchange built on the pillars of security, trust, and quality. Their mission is to develop next-generation crypto custody infrastructure that meets the highest standards of reliability, resilience, and compliance.
As they transition from third-party custody providers to an in-house solution, they need an exceptional engineer to ensure that every line of code, every security measure, and every process meets the gold standard for digital asset protection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and perfect a secure, scalable, and highly reliable crypto custody system.
- Develop institutional-grade key management solutions (HSM, MPC, or threshold signatures) with an unwavering focus on security and precision.
- Architect fault-tolerant and high-availability transaction signing workflows.
- Work with DevOps and Security teams to implement best-in-class encryption, authentication, and authorization strategies.
- Lead the migration from BitGo to an in-house custody solution, ensuring a seamless and secure transition.
- Build robust APIs and integrations with internal trading systems and blockchain networks.
- Establish rigorous code review, testing, and security protocols to ensure that quality remains the North Star.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on security, cryptography, or blockchain infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency in Go, Rust, or Python - with a deep understanding of secure coding practices.
- Hands-on experience with custody solutions, key management systems (HSMs, MPC, or multi-sig).
- Obsessive attention to quality, security, and reliability - you don’t just write code, you engineer solutions that stand the test of time.
- Deep understanding of blockchain security risks and how to mitigate them.
- Experience working on exchange security, smart contract wallets, or DeFi protocols is a plus.
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote-first environment, aligned with EU or East Coast time zones.
