Position OverviewAs a Data Analyst, you’ll play a key role in testing, improving, and supporting our AI-driven data analytics platform. This role combines hands-on SQL work, analytical problem-solving, and direct collaboration with both product and client success teams. Your mission: help us enhance the performance, explainability, and accuracy of our AI data agents.
You’ll use your data expertise to investigate AI-generated SQL, trace issues back to their root cause, and drive meaningful improvements across the product.
Key Responsibilities
AI Product Testing & Root Cause Analysis- Use your analytics skills to test and troubleshoot our NL-to-SQL AI agent, identifying root causes when queries are inaccurate or underperform.
- Simulate real-world usage by thinking like a client—evaluating accuracy, explainability, and output quality.
- Validate AI-generated SQL by comparing it to expected results, identifying where the AI misunderstood the intent or schema.
- Follow the AI’s explanation path and semantic logic to trace missteps and propose targeted fixes.
- Design scalable, automated test cases using synthetic and predefined datasets across data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, and Redshift.
- Document recurring edge cases and misinterpretation patterns to inform continuous improvement.
Client Success & AI Issue Resolution- Support clients by resolving AI query issues through deep investigation of their data models, schemas, and query outputs.
- Triage and resolve issues reported via a ticketing system, providing clear explanations and solutions.
- Help onboard new clients and ensure seamless AI integration with their data environments.
- Use client feedback to uncover common pain points and guide product enhancements that improve real-world performance.
AI Product Improvement (Semantic Layer, SQL, Explanations)- Collaborate with the product team to enhance the tool’s accuracy, transparency, and reasoning quality.
- Analyze and improve how the AI explains its logic, ensuring the resulting SQL aligns with user intent and semantic structure.
- Recommend refinements to the JSON-based semantic layer, helping the AI handle complex, ambiguous, or domain-agnostic queries.
- Propose rule-based improvements to query generation based on observed patterns and real-world data scenarios.
- Contribute to competitive analysis to benchmark against other AI data agents and surface opportunities for innovation.
Qualifications
Must-Have- 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to write, debug, and optimize queries.
- Experience recognizing typical errors in business analytics, such as data inconsistencies, biases, incorrect aggregations, and schema mismatches.
- Ability to debug AI-generated SQL queries and identify common failure patterns in large complex enterprise datasets.
- Strong understanding of metrics and semantic layers
- Problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for improving AI-driven analytics accuracy and efficiency.

- Experience working with LLMs or AI systems in a data analytics context.
