Title: Power Apps Specialist

Location: Toronto, ON (100% remote)

Duration: 9+ months Contract with possible extension

Summary:

Understands and articulates the business case of business questions and the estimated value being delivered. Designs dashboards and analyses to be performed, and appropriate visualization and analytics tools to use. Identifies trends and patterns to address identified business questions and provide insights through reporting and data visualization techniques. Works with other data and analytics professionals to optimize, refine, automate, and scale analysis into repeatable analytics solutions and decision support tools.

What will you do

• Utilizing Power Platform tools for automating processes (Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI)
• Build new and maintaining existing reporting dashboards, primarily in PowerBI, using the most appropriate data extraction, data cleaning, data transformation and data visualisation techniques.
• Apply visualization techniques to present data-driven insights to business stakeholders in a compelling and easily understandable manner, and deliver user stories that accurately represent business requirement and preferences
• Researches and applies continuous improvement in data visualization by identifying trends and patterns to transform raw data into actionable business insights.
• Works with different teams, management, and stakeholders to enhance the usability and aesthetic appeal of data analytics solutions deployed in the organization.
• Translates business needs to technical specifications and evaluates existing data visualization systems to improve them.
• Develops data visualizations of "large" amounts of data that facilitate the intuitive presentation of data to decision makers.
• Documents data flow, systems, and processes in confluence.
• Improve the design, implementation, and management of business/group by automating existing processes.
• Understands ITSM data (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB) within Service Now with the ability to provide deeper insights and improve
• Recommends approaches to streamline and integrate technological processes in the organization to improve overall efficiency.
• Facilitates meetings and discussions; follows a structured approach to plan, elicit, analyze, document, communicate and manage requirements with stakeholders.
• Works independently and regularly handles non-routine requests.
• Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
• Apply Possesses innovative problem-solving approaches to various complexities and issues.
• Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
• Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.

Good to have

• Power BI specialist certification PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst.
• Knowledge of Data science and Machine learning along with ETL tools like Dataiku.
• Past experience with building KPIs metrics, using data sources like Jira and Dynatrace.
• Banking experience, particularly large enterprise-wide initiatives would be an asset.
