Lead Software Engineer in NETHERLANDS

Who are we looking for?

BlockTech is a fast-paced algorithmic trading firm facilitating global cryptocurrency trading while expanding into regulated markets. As we continue to grow rapidly, we are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join us amid our exciting scale-up phase!

What will you do?

To facilitate the further growth of BlockTech, you are responsible for managing one of our new software engineering teams. Additionally, you will still code a lot as well since we believe in leading by example!

Software Engineers at BlockTech have the possibility to develop components entirely from scratch, which will enable us to obtain top-notch performance and stay ahead of the game.

This means that you will carry a high level of responsibility since your team has the ability to steer the direction of the company with your newly developed components.

When you are not working on new code, you will maintain and improve the current infrastructure and logic.

What do we require from you?

• 5+ years of commercial working experience as a (Lead) Software Engineer using object-oriented languages
• Willingness to work with Rust and Python
• A solid understanding of asynchronous programming
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• A critical mind who follows things until completion
• The ability to confidently work on completely new components
• A high level of responsibility and ownership
