Is this role for you?
This is a fast-paced role that requires you to have an agile mindset, be resourceful, and have an independent approach to problem-solving. You will have a team lead who can offer support and guidance, but ultimately, we are looking for someone who doesn’t require hand-holding and can be trusted to complete tasks correctly and according to best SEO practices without being micromanaged.
We need someone who can work as part of a team but who is also able to work independently and use their critical thinking skills to solve problems and find new opportunities to improve content without having to be asked. You need to be resourceful in your ability to find information and apply what you know correctly and in a way that makes the most sense for each client or task you work on.
It also goes without saying that you HAVE to be interested in SEO if you want to enjoy and excel in this role. You will need to be versatile in your ability to write about various (sometimes mundane) topics convincingly.
Whatever you are working on — whether long-form content or metadata — you will need to have the drive to constantly produce high-quality work that meets A1’s quality standards and client expectations.
This role is NOT for you if you:
- Don’t really care about SEO
- Don’t like working in a fast-paced environment
- Struggle with self-motivation
- Can’t use critical thinking to solve problems
- Require constant validation and supervision
- Can’t manage your time efficiently
- Take feedback personally
- Can’t communicate your needs clearly
Application Process
- Successful candidates demonstrating previous experience will be shortlisted.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a pre-recorded, 5-minute video interview exploring a range of soft and hard skills.
- Those who pass the video interview stage will be invited to complete a written competency test to demonstrate their skills and SEO knowledge.
- Those who pass the written competency test will be invited to a final interview with the Content Team Lead to ask any questions they may have about the role before an offer is made.
