Are you an experienced Windows Specialist with 3+ years in Windows administration and application support? We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team and play a key role in managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure.


In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy, and ensuring high system availability and security. You will also support Exchange 2016/2019 and Office 365 environments, automate routine tasks using PowerShell, and work closely with development teams to deploy and maintain applications.


We're looking for someone with strong troubleshooting skills, experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), and a solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, Firewalls, VPNs). Familiarity with remote management tools, patch management solutions (WSUS, SCCM), and enterprise-grade hardware (Dell, HP) will be a strong plus.


Job Description:


  • Install, Configure and maintain Windows Servers (e.g. Windows Server 2016/2019/2022)
  • Monitor system performance, availability security, ensuring optimal system operation
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and other essential Windows services
  • Manage Exchange 2016/2019 server and Office 365 Exchange online environments
  • Perform regular system updates, patches and backups
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network issues
  • Implement and maintain disaster recovery strategies
  • Manage file and print services, user permissions and access controls
  • Automate routine tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools
  • Collaborate with development teams to deploy and maintain in house or third-party applications
  • Manage incidents and effectively communicate with users, application owners and senior stakeholders across all areas
  • Improve Infrastructure stability and performance by observing patterns, recurring failures and/or issues, and advise application owners on permanent fixes accordingly
  • Adopt various tools developed by ETO Engineering team to automate failures using machine learning techniques and notify discrepancies in the health of production and automation of health-restoration, with a focus on continuous measurement of risk and cost.
  • Identify alerts / processes that can be automated and then work with Engineering team in automating them
  • Challenge existing Infrastructure setup, processing and suggest different ways to solve problem or improve stability
  • Actively participate in Change management process with view to manage risk in production environment
  • Build and improve run books to minimize operational errors and gain Fungibility/efficiency

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong understanding of Unix and Windows Server architecture
  • Proficiency with Windows/Unix/Linux-based operating system, commands and utilities, as well as Configuration Management Tools
  • Proficiency in managing Windows Server environments
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
  • Experience with Virtualization technologies (e.g. VMWare, Hyper V)
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, Firewalls, VPN)
  • Basic troubleshooting knowledge on MS Exchange administration for Exchange 2016/2019 and M365 suite
  • Experience on Remote management consoles like Dell IDRAC, HP ILO, VCenter/vSphere
  • Hands-on developing PowerShell scripts to automate various tasks of OS and Applications running on Windows platform. Research and finding solution to automate complex tasks
  • Hands-on experience of system administration of Windows server-side infrastructure (Windows 2016,2019,2022, Active Directory, Server Hardware etc.) and associated technologies e.g. DNS, DHCP, WINS and Group Policies
  • Prior experience working at an ISP/Managed Services/IT Services company is preferred, and a background in dealing with global teams and remote teams will be a strong plus.
  • Strong plus for candidate having working (configure and troubleshoot) experience on breadth of technologies e.g. terminal servers, windows clustering, VMware, Hyper-V, Azure etc.
  • Strong plus for experience with various blade systems (HP, DELL etc...)
  • Strong plus for experience on patch management tool administration (WSUS, SCCM etc.)
  • Experience of supporting, Share Point, Mobile and instant messaging applications
  • Basic understanding of SQL Queries and hands on experience with Aqua Data Studio
  • Strong ability to debug applications to identify the underlying root cause
  • Good communication skills with ability to articulate the technical and functional aspects of a development/production problem to help drive solutions with App Dev teams and senior stakeholders
  • Candidate must have worked on enterprise grade server hardware (Install, Configure and Maintain) HP and Dell Rack Servers
  • Relevant certifications (ITIL, MCSA, MCSE-Server, VCP, RHCSA etc..) will be a strong plus
