Remote Software Developer (Javascript, SvelteJS & Decentralized Systems) – Cloud Atlas OS
We’ve evolved Crowd Engineering into a social network application.
Cloud Atlas OS is a groundbreaking, decentralized, and community-owned real-world platform—think Google Maps, Wikipedia, and an App Store fused into one. Running entirely on a P2P network of user devices, it is self-scaling, serverless, and free from central authority.
Our Core Components:
1️⃣ Decentralized Government
A bold reimagining of governance that transforms brainstorming, group action, petitioning, and crowdfunding into an action-oriented system. Whether it’s addressing local challenges or tackling global issues, anyone can create or join missions, making governance accessible and participatory.
🛠 This isn’t just governance—it’s empowerment at scale.
2️⃣ Virtual Encyclopedia
Picture a 3D animated Wikipedia, where articles visually roam the globe, representing their content dynamically. Imagine spotting a green giraffe sipping coffee at Starbucks—an anomaly that flags a correction request to the Wikipedia community.
📖 This feature merges information with interactivity, creating an engaging and immersive way to explore and maintain knowledge.
3️⃣ Community-Driven DApp Store with Integrated Decentralized Back-End
Now, we’re looking for a highly skilled developer to help shape the future of Cloud Atlas OS. 🚀
Responsibilities:
✔️ Develop location-based applications (DApps) and location-based games within Cloud Atlas OS, primarily focusing on front-end development since Cloud Atlas OS provides a built-in decentralized back-end.
✔️ Write high-performance JavaScript and SvelteJS code to deliver an interactive, real-time user experience.
✔️ Implement and refine P2P communication using libraries like Trystero, which simplify complex networking tasks.
✔️ Ensure seamless in-browser development, self-scaling app functionality, offline capabilities, and adherence to JAMStack architecture principles.
✔️ Troubleshoot and enhance features related to decentralized governance, the virtual encyclopedia, and the DApp store.
✔️ Collaborate with the open-source community and the other volunteers to foster innovation and drive the project forward.
Qualifications:
✅ Proficiency in SvelteJS is preferred, though any JavaScript developer can adapt since SvelteJS is a compiler that produces efficient vanilla JavaScript, free of traditional framework overhead.
✅ Familiarity with WebRTC, BitTorrent, Nostr, or similar P2P protocols and architectures is a plus—though our system abstracts away 99.9% of the complexity.
✅ Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in JAMStack, CDN, serverless, or decentralized environments.
✅ Master a Future-Proof Tech Stack: Experience with JAMStack, Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), blockchain, or open-source projects is highly valued—here, you’ll work with cutting-edge tools that define the next era of development.
✅ At least 1 year of hands-on development experience.
