(Senior) Python Backend Developer (f/m/d) in GERMANY

What you’ll be doing:

• Design, develop, and implement AI-driven solutions for a variety of customers, using Python and REST APIs to tackle complex automation challenges.
• Contribute to internal libraries for custom projects in Question Answering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Collaborate in one of our international, agile teams that value open communication, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence.
• Work closely with your team to identify the best solutions, leveraging best practices and past experience.
• Grow personally and professionally through pair programming, code reviews, and 1-on-1s with experienced developers.
• Ensure code quality and reliability by testing and refining your work.
• Enjoy a high level of creative freedom in designing and implementing your solutions.

What you bring:

• Solid Python skills and a passion for backend development.
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Good knowledge of databases like Elasticsearch, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with tools like Poetry, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI for building, deploying, and running applications.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken. German is a plus.
• A structured, analytical mindset and experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Enthusiasm for working in interdisciplinary, international teams.
• You live in Germany and are open to traveling to Berlin at least four times a year.

What Would Make You Stand Out:

• A keen interest in AI technologies and experience with LLMs.
• Knowledge of search and retrieval technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Celery and Kubernetes in production environments.
• In-depth understanding of microservice architectures.
• Familiarity with modern HTML/CSS and basic JavaScript skills.
