Role Overview
We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to join a fast-paced development team remotely from Asia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual and automated testing to ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of software applications.
This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can design, execute, and improve test cases to detect bugs and ensure a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications.
- Perform manual and automated testing to identify software defects and inconsistencies.
- Report and track bugs using JIRA, TestRail, or similar tools, collaborating with developers for fixes.
- Conduct functional, regression, performance, and usability testing to ensure product stability.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to understand project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with industry quality standards and best practices.
- Write and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.
- Analyse test results, provide feedback, and drive improvements in the development process.
- Stay updated with emerging QA methodologies and testing tools.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance testing.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing processes and methodologies.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test case management tools (JIRA, TestRail, or similar).
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in a CI/CD environment.
- Ability to create detailed test reports and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with performance and security testing.
- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java for test automation.
- ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications.
