THE ROLE & THE TEAM
We are looking for a System Engineer to drive our automation infrastructure initiatives and contribute to the efficiency of our Warehouse IT operations. Reporting to the Head of Warehouse IT, you will be part of a dynamic team of 5-10 members.
In this role, you will lead the solutions engineering area, with a strong focus on automating device management and device-related software.

As a System Engineer at Zalando, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and operating scalable infrastructure management solutions that support our business continuity and growth. You will
- Deliver Value-Added Solutions Contribute your technical expertise to projects across the business, helping to create aligned technical concepts and architectures.
- Ensure Business Continuity Customize and develop Enterprise products to meet the specific requirements of the Zalando Group, ensuring efficient data and process flow.
- Uphold High Standards Maintain high standards of development and technical support, taking into account corporate IT Security and Privacy standards.
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
- You have experience in System Engineering or a related field.
- You are proficient in relevant technologies and tools like ansible, saltstack or message queues.
- You have experience in one or more programming languages like Python, Java, Go etc.
- You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- You are a team player with excellent communication skills.
- You have experience in logistics or device management.
