ETL / Data Engineer - Remote in POLAND

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an ETL / Data Engineer who is passionate about building data engineering systems. This is a key role where you will join a small Sofomo team working for one of our clients. You will help design, build and execute a new data engineering system that connects to multiple third party data points. The new data engineering system will use the Fivetran data ingestion tool for data imports and BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker) for its presentation layer. Over time you will have an opportunity to build custom data engineering solutions.

At least basic PowerBI and Tableau experience is required. Experience in using Looker would be an additional plus.

Also, you will need to have previous data warehouse, ETL and other data engineering experiences.

We are looking for someone with at least 1-2 years of experience.

Your technical experience and technical skill set are the most important. However, we will also choose based on your personality, attitude and desire to grow your skills.

Your daily tasks on the job

1. Solution Design - You won’t be just taking tasks. This job involves actual design, architecting and implementation of ETL and data engineering systems.
2. Ownership - You will have ownership over your development from design to launch.
3. Data Engineering - Design and implementation of a robust data engineering system built from the ground up with custom data pipelines in the cloud.
4. Data Engineering - Development of custom data engineering solutions.
5. Data Engineering - Data model design, design patterns, creating reports, scripting
6. Agile Approach - You will work collaboratively with other team members in an agile, Scrum way.
7. Learning - You will learn new technologies, frameworks, etc. every day.
