Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin or Java.
- Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and AI specialists to integrate intelligent features.
- Optimize app performance, ensuring smooth functionality across various devices.
- Implement third-party API integrations, including local payment systems (Telebirr, CBE Birr, etc.).
- Debug, troubleshoot, and continuously improve application performance.
- Stay updated with the latest Android development trends and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java for Android development.
- Experience with Android Studio, Jetpack Components, and MVVM architecture.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, Firebase, SQLite, and Room DB.
- Experience deploying and maintaining apps on the Google Play Store.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Flutter or React Native is a plus.
- Familiarity with MLOps, AI model integration, or LLM-based mobile applications.
- Prior experience working in a remote development team.
