Sirva is now seeking for a Business Development Director to support our international clientele based out Melbourne, Australia.

This role requires flexibility to shift times and offers a hybrid working model with work from home available.

Position Summary

To meet or exceed the business development objectives of the APAC region by promoting and selling the services of Sirva & Allied to potential local, regional and global clients through professional sales & prospecting techniques, collaboration with internal subject matter experts, and efficient networking activities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute refined sales approach and strategy to achieve annual new revenue target in the Australian market.
  • Develop and execute prospecting strategies to secure target accounts and markets.
  • Build a prospect pipeline in line with set revenue goals
  • Identify, build and maintain winning business relationships.
  • Manage full end-to-end RFP process. Initiate and complete proposals, lead ‘best and final’ client presentations (in person & virtual), negotiate terms and conditions, maintain compliance with company systems and processes and oversee pricing and execution of the acquisition of opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed new contract revenue and margins in line with annual targets.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com daily to track activities, manage the sales pipeline and comply with Sirva processes for Salesforce.com
  • Participate in team selling activity for regional and global accounts with counterparts within and outside the APAC region.
  • Maintain market intelligence on competitor activities.
  • Attend conferences / events to network with prospects, clients and competitors. Host round tables and speak at conferences and events where required.
  • Manage and develop broader relationships with existing internal stakeholders (Pricing, Legal, Operations, Supplier Management, Finance, etc.).
  • Identify, build, and manage long term relationships with strategic partners in the industry.
  • Attend pending meetings and work with an in-home sales consultant to secure moving revenue and new moving competitive panel opportunities.
  • Ability to sell to a diverse range of clients from local moving opportunities to complex multi-national contracts.

Job Qualifications And Preferred Skills

Education/Certification Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in business or related discipline are preferred.
  • Global Mobility Specialist certification and/or global mobility industry knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications And Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years business/sales/management experience.
  • Track record of executing sales and prospecting strategies to meet new business revenue targets.
  • Ability to manage complex tasks and close multi-stakeholder, complex solutions.
  • Strong technology skills with a deep understanding of technology enabled service delivery and ability to demonstrate company technology solutions.
  • Advanced negotiation skills and ability to negotiate and close complex contracts and scope of work.
  • Ability to present to prospective clients in a competitive ‘best and final’ environment as well as speak/host roundtables at industry events.
  • Detailed knowledge of the global mobility industry would be advantageous.
  • Fluent English speaker
