Android Engineer – Platform & Consumer Apps:

My client is building a cutting-edge consumer app and is looking for a Senior Android Engineer to be a key part of their early team. This is a chance to shape the product from its early stages, influence major technical decisions, and contribute to a high-impact platform.

What You'll Do:

• Develop high-performance, visually stunning UI with low-level APIs, shaders, and custom rendering.
• Build cross-company platform components, including media encoding/decoding, performance tracing libraries, and deep-linking systems.
• Collaborate on roadmap ideation, bringing technical insights to product decisions.
• Take full ownership of your scope, monitoring performance analytics, managing crashes, and proactively fixing issues.
• Share knowledge and stay ahead of Android development trends by engaging in conferences and online communities.

What We’re Looking For:

• Professional experience in native Android development (Kotlin/Java).
• Strong computer systems fundamentals (memory management, multithreading, file systems, etc.).
• Experience with C or C++ is a big plus for low-level platform work.
• Passion for consumer apps—we’d love to hear about apps you’ve built!
• Background in platform development (SDKs, libraries, or internal tooling) is a bonus.
