About Black Shamrock
Black Shamrock – A Virtuos Studio is a dynamic game development studio working on exciting, high-profile projects in AAA video games. About The Position
We are looking for a passionate and driven Associate Producer to join our team. This position is ideal for recent graduates or professionals eager to take their first steps in the gaming industry. As an Associate Producer, you will play a vital role in supporting the planning and delivery of technical and creative features for video games. You’ll work closely with Senior Producers, development teams, and partner studios, contributing to the creation of some of the most exciting AAA titles in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist the production team with the day-to-day management of projects, ensuring smooth communication and efficient project execution both internally and externally.
- Collaborate with department leads and development teams to define project requirements, resource needs, and establish and track task schedules.
- Coordinate team activities, helping prioritize and ensure timely completion of tasks according to the established project roadmaps.
- Support Senior Producers in setting project goals, defining tasks, and managing associated milestones while considering project scope and constraints.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and remove production blockers, keeping projects on track.
- Generate regular project reports and documents to maintain visibility on key aspects of the project.
- Assist in the testing and quality assurance process by reviewing game builds, identifying and documenting bugs, and collaborating with the development team to ensure necessary fixes are implemented.
- Ensure the timely delivery of assets and milestones and participate in review meetings to ensure quality.
Qualifications
Need to Have:
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with fluent communication (oral and written) in English.
- Strong leadership abilities, with a capacity to drive various functions through the development process.
- Familiarity with or a willingness to learn different management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall and Agile).
- A passion for video game production, with a keen interest in discovering new tools and technologies used in game development.
- Creative and pragmatic mindset, with the ability to find effective solutions to overcome obstacles and ensure projects stay on track.
- Ability to quickly learn new skills, demonstrating high levels of self-motivation and initiative.
- Detail-oriented with high standards of work and a strong commitment to the development process.
- Ability to leverage active listening to understand team needs, address concerns, and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders.
- Knowledge or a strong interest in software development processes, project management, and risk mitigation.
- Proactive and positive attitude, with a strong willingness to support the team and projects.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to deliver quality projects within tight deadlines.
- Passion for video games!
Good To Have
- Understanding of PC and console games.
- Familiarity with game engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine.
