To support Mister Spex’ strategic goals and our evolving tech platform, we are looking for an experienced tech person and leader to take over security and platform infrastructure across our organization as our new Lead Security & Infrastructure (m/f/d).
While we are flexible with the scope of this position, our current thinking is that a good fit would be someone with strong technical skills, a strategic mindset and leadership experience.
To be successful, you would bring ample hands-on experience securing, designing, and professionally operating cloud-native platforms – i.e. not by typing into a console.
Additionally, you bring mind- & toolset to dump your thoughts onto well-structured documents that are convincing to a wider group of leaders. You are healthily annoyed by tech regulations and audit processes and are generally great to work with.
How you contribute
- Take ownership of our security strategy, driving its implementation, continuous improvement, and forward vision
- Define and lead initiatives to secure our data, systems, and infrastructure in collaboration with ops and engineering teams, covering identity security, vulnerability management, SDLC improvements, and security monitoring
- Work hands-on with tech teams to enhance security in their domains, from defining and designing to implementing projects
- Evolve processes to identify and address threats, coordinating external security contributors and implementing practices, policies, and metrics
- Foster a security-aware culture by advising and mentoring our organization and leadership on security, compliance, and governance, ensuring robust adherence to standards
What you bring
- Extensive experience leading security initiatives, ideally with platform teams
- In-depth, hands-on expertise with cloud-native infrastructure, cloud-based security (AWS, Azure, M365), IAM, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Proven leadership in cloud and hybrid security, covering IAM, hardening, incident/vulnerability management, security monitoring, and security architecture
- Awareness of key standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO27k, NIS, PCI-DSS, BSI-ITG) and governance practices
- Ability to simplify complex security concepts, also on documents
- Strong communication skills in English (C1+), German is a plus
