Do you want to relocate to the land of year-round sunshine and no income tax? If so, I am currently working with a well-known European powerhouse that has touched down in the UAE and, now that they have boots on the ground, are looking to grow out their software engineering team. They are looking for a proven Software Architect to work on building their Radar prototype. Have you worked on Radars, IoT, Automated Driving, Aerospace or something similar? Then we're looking for you! We are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of embedded software. You'll be architecting a system that can take data from radar and translate this data into software. This process is very mathematical, so a background in Mathematics, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is a must. What You'll Do Lead a team of talented software engineers and ensure they have the guidance and supportive culture they need to succeed Collaborate with stakeholders in the business to conduct requirements analysis and transform this into technical requirements and architecture Ensure documentation across the project is maintained at a high level Lead from the front! Help with code reviews Ensure best engineering practices across the project Own the architecture and lead the development of the most mission-critical components Lead selection of technology across the project, be on the cutting edge of technology Keep track of technical debt and make sure it is minimised to ensure the system is maintainable and scalable in the long run Who You Are Proven experience in Software Architecture and Engineering with Embedded Systems A true understanding of Linux Operating Systems and Embedded Development with Linux Systems Experience leading a team Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and algorithms (think linear algebra, calculus etc.) Experience with system integration and design patterns Experience with communication protocols and hardware / software interfaces What's in it for you?
