Junior Software Engineer in SPAIN

Role Description

This is a volunteer, fully remote position for a Junior Software Engineer at Yumanist AI. The Junior Software Engineer will have flexibility in managing their working hours and will be actively involved in developing and maintaining the Yumanist AI web and browser extension. Responsibilities include participating in both back-end and front-end development tasks, assisting in deploying and monitoring applications, debugging, code reviews, and contributing to technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in developing, testing, and deploying high-quality software solutions.
• Assist with both front-end and back-end development, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
• Collaborate closely with other developers, designers, and product managers to meet project requirements.
• Perform debugging and problem-solving to resolve software defects and enhance performance.
• Contribute actively to team meetings, code reviews, and agile processes.
• Support documentation efforts by clearly articulating software functionality and architecture.

Qualifications:

• Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science and Software Development principles.
• Experience or familiarity with Back-End Development (Node.js, Python, Java, Ruby, etc.).
• Experience or familiarity with Front-End Development (JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, HTML/CSS).
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards overcoming challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a distributed team.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of databases and data storage solutions (SQL, NoSQL).
• Interest or experience in blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies.
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and adaptability to new technologies.
