Organizational Structure and Operations:

Our project teams consist of 5-7 members, each with distinct responsibilities. Junior team members receive mentorship and guidance from senior technicians to facilitate professional development and problem-solving. While we maintain offices in Košice, Slovakia, and Brno, Czech Republic, current operations are remote. Our workforce is presently distributed across both countries.

Current Hiring Need:

We are currently seeking an experienced Data Scientist/ML Engineer to help us develop statistical and performance models and algorithms to understand data patterns, extract meaningful insights and solve business problems.

Project Overview:

Slinky (slinkydata.com) is a lead and data management platform, designed and developed by Severin Simko IT Services since 2020. The platform is engineered to handle high-volume data processing, encompassing ingestion, parsing, and normalization. Slinky incorporates internal and external validation tools, empowering users to manage data utilization effectively. API integrations with various systems and solutions optimize data utilization and provide tracking and monitoring functionalities.

We are planning on developing and leveraging data models combining performance, disposition, historical data combined with 3rd party enrichment data in order to get data-driven recommendations for improvements of efficiency, data utilization and increased monetization. Developed models are planned to be accessible using highly-scalable APIs.

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop advanced data correlations to enhance performance and data utilization.
• Create algorithms for identifying high-performing data criteria and performance patterns.
• Execute data and ML-model simulations and predictions.
• Design and implement workflows and APIs for data enrichment and appending.
• Maintain clear documentation of technical processes and application functionalities.
• Engage in backend development, with a focus on data analytics, optimization algorithms, and scalable APIs.
• Build data synchronization integrations for data exchange with internal and external APIs and systems.
• Develop optimized datasets and data tables in relational databases and BigQuery.
• Gain familiarity with relevant cloud services offered by AWS and GCP.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail

Required Qualifications:

• Strong Proficiency in Python development (minimum 2+ years in production), with hands-on experience in relevant frameworks like Flask and FastAPI.
• Experience solving problems using Machine Learning
• Experience with model deployment and serving into production environments
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Solid knowledge of databases, including MySQL or similar SQL, with experience in query optimization.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
