How you will create an impact:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for networking related devices and services.
  • Contribute regularly to technical and process documentation.
  • Keep up to date with industry knowledge of relevant technologies.
  • Serve as a mentor to less experienced IT colleagues.


Strategic Design and Development

  • Research and evaluate state of the art technology and best practices to improve services and procedures.
  • Actively pursue and drive a continuous evolution of services and platforms.
  • Develop decision templates and recommendations for platforms and procedures.


Service Provider / Vendor Management

  • Supporting IT Procurement with ordering and reviewing contracts.
  • Communication and coordination.
  • Escalation and conflict resolution.
  • Monitoring/Reporting.
  • Consulting and support as subject matter expert for your area of expertise.


Change Management

  • Improving services in your area of responsibility.
  • Monitoring and reporting new features or important updates on relevant technologies.
  • Ensure that the technology is up to date.
  • Continuous development of services and platforms.
  • Communication and coordination with IT and business as needed.
  • Implementing change request and feature updates.


Incident Management

  • Analyze technical problems and errors.
  • Solve complex problems.
  • Consult with internal users and external service providers as needed.
  • Work closely together with IT Support Group and provide level 3 technical escalation support.
  • Ensure that escalations are properly identified and communicated to leadership.
  • Assist with escalation support as needed.
  • Ensure assigned SLAs are consistently met.


IT Operations

  • Administration of IT systems.
  • Controlling the installation of IT Systems (Software, Hardware).
  • Implementation of new IT Systems and services.
  • Monitor and respond to alerts.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable SLAs.
  • Upgrade, replace, and improve systems and services.
  • Support with Business Continuity, Backup and Disaster Recovery solution design, implementation, and testing.


Supporting Project Work

  • Provide technical consulting as subject matter expert for your assigned systems and services
  • Participate in project meetings
  • Provide solutions and ideas
  • Provide estimations for task efforts
  • Handle technical tasks as assigned
  • Escalate conflicts to project manager and/or manager as needed
  • Ensure that assigned work is completed as promised
  • Support office move and relocation projects
  • Coordination with business, internal (IT) and external resources (Service Providers) as needed.


Supporting IT Compliance & Security team

  • Comply with organizational guidelines and IT policies.
  • Provide consulting guidance and support for IT Compliance & Security as subject matter expert for your assigned systems and services.
  • Provide technical documentation as required for IT Compliance & Security team.
  • Ensuring appropriate licensing is utilized.
  • Ensure that systems and services are up to date with latest patches, updates, and firmware.
  • Assist IT Security team with vulnerability remediation (e.g,. pushing an emergency release firmware on firewalls).
  • Assist IT Compliance & Security team with incident response and investigations (e.g,. shutting down network connectivity in response to suspicious activity).
  • Assist IT Compliance & Security team with requests to setup/configure virtual appliances or services.
  • Implement settings and recommendations on IT Infrastructure based on guidance provided by IT Compliance & Security team.


Your profile:

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years of overall related experience with a worldwide distributed enterprise networking environment (1000+ users). Additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Extensive experience with networking technologies (e.g., VPN, WAN, SD-WAN, SASE, LAN, VLAN, WLAN)
  • Advanced knowledge of firewall technologies and secure network infrastructure solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of network routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP)
  • Hands-on experience designing and configuring Azure Virtual Networks, ExpressRoutes, VPN Gateways, etc.
  • Experience with implementing industry best practices for networking technologies.
  • Experience in the design, deployment, and support of a global distributed enterprise network environment Proficient with network diagnostic and monitoring tools (WireShark, Solarwinds Orion, etc.)
  • Hands-on IT project management experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Good initiative, time management and organizational skills.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to document technical configurations and processes.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of diverse, international team.
  • Business fluent in English


Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with ITSM platforms (TopDesk, ServiceNow, Jira etc.)
  • Experience with VoIP technologies (MS Teams Voice, Cisco Unified Communications, etc.)
  • Experience with IaC, Scripting, DevOPS, and automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Git, etc.)
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP)


The pay range for this position in New York is $125,000 to $150,000 annually. Compensation may vary depending on relevant experience, skills, geographic location, and business needs. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, 13 paid holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, basic life insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
