Information Technology Support Specialist in LATIN AMERICA

We are seeking an Information Technology Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support for IT systems, hardware, and software across LATAM. This role is ideal for a proactive and customer-focused IT professional who can troubleshoot issues, improve system performance, and ensure seamless IT operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide first-line and second-line support for IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
  • User Assistance: Respond to support tickets and resolve technical problems for employees across multiple locations.
  • System Administration: Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including cloud-based solutions, enterprise applications, and network systems.
  • Incident Management: Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently while documenting solutions for future reference.
  • Security & Compliance: Assist in implementing IT security policies, managing access controls, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Equipment & Asset Management: Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assist with procurement and deployment of new technology.
  • Training & Documentation: Develop user guides and conduct IT training sessions to enhance digital literacy within the organisation.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or technical assistance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with cloud services (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, VPNs, and remote desktop support.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English (Portuguese is a plus).


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ITIL frameworks and service desk management.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a remote or hybrid environment, supporting teams across multiple time zones.
