Role Overview:
As a Product Owner, this role plays a crucial part in shaping and enhancing financial software products. The position involves defining product vision, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and translating requirements into actionable development plans. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial processes, industry trends, and a passion for delivering high-quality SaaS solutions.
Product Owner (Accounting SaaS – Office of the CFO) - Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Product Director to define and articulate a clear product vision and strategy based on market research, customer feedback, and business goals.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Gather and prioritise product requirements from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Curate and manage a prioritised product backlog, incorporating support tickets, customer feedback, and implementation considerations.
- Write clear and detailed user stories, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
- Work closely with engineering teams to break down user stories into actionable development tasks.
- Define user-centric acceptance criteria, including expected outcomes and validation processes.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure an intuitive and effective user experience.
- Work closely with QA teams to maintain high product quality, supporting test case creation and validation.
- Coordinate and oversee product releases, aligning sprints with roadmap objectives and ensuring timely delivery.
- Act as a key point of contact for customer feedback, utilising insights to drive continuous product enhancements.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support to ensure a cohesive product development approach.
Product Owner (Accounting SaaS – Office of the CFO) - Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within financial software development.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, industry regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, non-technical language.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing product backlogs, writing user stories, and defining acceptance criteria.
- A passion for building innovative accounting and ERP SaaS solutions that drive business efficiency.
