About the Opportunity:
We are looking for a talented and experienced DevOps Team Lead to help us scale our blockchain infrastructure. You’ll lead a team responsible for deploying, maintaining, and optimizing the infrastructure that underpins our blockchain systems, with a focus on ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, driving excellence in the deployment, management, and scaling of blockchain nodes.
- Architect, deploy, and maintain multi-cloud infrastructure for blockchain systems, ensuring the highest levels of availability and performance.
- Design and implement advanced system automation frameworks, leveraging tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible to automate infrastructure management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues across development, staging, and production environments, ensuring minimal downtime and high reliability.
- Collaborate closely with the Product and Engineering teams to deploy new blockchain protocols and contribute to product architecture decisions.
- Ensure security best practices are followed, including SOC2 compliance, and actively suggest improvements to Everstake’s infrastructure architecture.
- Drive continuous improvement of our DevOps practices, optimizing processes, infrastructure, and team performance.
- Manage risk assessments for protocol deployments, communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide on-call support for production systems, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), with a proven track record of success in managing scalable infrastructure.
- Strong background in Kubernetes, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Helm, and GitOps.
- Advanced proficiency in Linux servers and large-scale environments (500+ servers), particularly in secure, high-availability systems.
- Experience in multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and bare-metal environments.
- Familiarity with blockchain technologies or a keen interest in Web3 and decentralized systems.
- In-depth experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and infrastructure security (KMS, HashiCorp Vault).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; ability to diagnose and resolve complex system and application issues quickly.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate technical challenges and risks effectively.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with experience in remote or distributed teams.
Nice-to-Have:
- Prior experience working in a Web3, crypto, or blockchain company.
- Experience deploying and managing blockchain nodes (professionally or as a hobby).
- Familiarity with SOC2, ISO 27001, or other industry certifications.
- Background in FinTech or other highly regulated industries.
- Proficiency in Golang, Typescript, or similar programming languages.
