Cordia Resources has partnered with a client in their search for a Talent Acquisition Director. This newly-created role will lead the talent acquisition function and manage a team of four.
Candidates must have experience in both the federal and commercial space, ideally within technology companies, and have strong technical recruiting background.
The role is fully remote (preference for EST and CST), salary in the $180-200k range with a 10% bonus.

As Talent Acquisition Director, you will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of the Talent Acquisition team. This role is a people manager, leader and mentor that effectively manages team operations in support of organizational success, and supports leadership in effectively managing talent and staffing operations.
This role will serve as a subject matter expert that is able to successfully lead through direct reports and effectively communicate and execute against organizational objectives. In this role, the Talent Acquisition Director will actively partner with leadership peers to achieve business objectives, and has a strategic mindset to influence organizational growth. The role must exhibit strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate among varying teams and departments to support the development and implementation of standard processes and procedures.
Primary expectations include:
- Exhibits creative and strategic thinking to achieve business objectives and implements solutions in order to execute staffing activities.
- Determine tools, systems, processes and infrastructure, for talent acquisition team operations. Project Manager for any tool or system’s implementations or updates.
- Leads change management activities through the use of compelling and accurate data.
- Directs assignments and provides leadership support and mentoring to the team.
- Collaboratively works with Business Unit(s) leaders and Executive Leadership within the organization in support of business objectives.
- Leads the recruitment team to ensure that they consistently and directly contribute to the company’s growth, culture, and quality.
- Responsible for the internal placement process; creating a positive experience for employees.
- Proactively forecasts future staffing needs for upcoming bids or re-competes and creates robust plans to meet those needs.
- Responsible for defining and delivering key performance indicators (ie time-to-hire, internal placements and time-to-fill metric thresholds) . Presents reports to the Vice President of People Operations on the status of the team’s delivery.
- Responsible for the development and management of annual budgets, marketing campaigns and staffing plans.
- Responsible for hiring, performance management, timecard reviews, PTO and recruitment team development.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10+ years of leadership experience in the talent acquisition field; relevant years of experience may be substituted for education.
- Experience with ATS and HRIS implementations and/or changes/updates.
- 5+ years experience with technology government contracting companies leading talent acquisition teams.
- 5+ years experience leading talent acquisition teams in the commercial technology field.
- Expert level in government contracting staffing plans and workforce management.
- Preferred experience in leading recruiting with companies moving from small business to mid to large size scale.
