Role Overview
We’re looking for a TypeScript / React Native (Expo) Developer who will play a key role in prototyping, building and rapidly growing mobile apps from the ground up. In this role, you will collaborate with our small, passionate team to deliver functional and polished mobile app focused solutions for our exclusive clients. You’ll be responsible for translating well defined product ideas and designs into high-quality code, solving challenging problems on the fly, and ensuring the high quality and smooth experience our clients demand on both iOS and Android. This is a hands-on development role with a lot of autonomy and opportunity to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, improve and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native (via Expo), ensuring smooth performance on both Android and iOS devices.
- Build complex UI components in React with modern React capability (state, effects, context etc.), creating responsive and robust user interfaces.
- Write clean, type-safe code in TypeScript, defining relevant types and interfaces to improve reliability and readability of the codebase.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues together with our experts, maintain test harnesses and ensure high code quality.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to understand feature requirements, proactively communicate technical challenges, impact and progress.
- Iterate quickly: prototype new features, get feedback, and refine – all while keeping code quality high and meeting collectively agreed upon project deadlines.
- Contribute to our AI-driven development process by adopting new tools and techniques that make building MVPs faster and smarter.
Required Technical Skills (in order of importance)
- React Expertise – Strong proficiency in React. You can build complex, dynamic components, multi-page apps from scratch, manage state and side effects with hooks, and optimize rendering performance. You write reusable components and understand React best practices inside and out.
- React Native & Expo – Hands-on experience developing mobile applications with React Native (and ideally Expo). You’re familiar with common React Native challenges (cross-device compatibility, navigation, performance optimization, offline storage, etc.) and know how to leverage Expo’s libraries and workflows. You can take an app from development to testing to deployment on the App Store/Google Play using Expo.
- TypeScript – Solid proficiency in TypeScript. You comfortably define and use types and interfaces for most situations to make the code more robust and maintainable. (We don’t expect you to know every obscure TypeScript trick, but you should understand generics, union types, and other essentials well enough to model our application data and logic effectively.)

At the same time, you’re respectful and flexible – once a decision is made, you commit to it and execute it diligently, even if it wasn’t your preferred approach.
Language & Work Eligibility
- English Proficiency – Must be able to confidently read, write, and understand English, especially technical documentation and project requirements. Our team uses English for documentation and some communication, so you should be comfortable with it.
- Work Authorization – For employment in Hungary: you must have legal authorization to work in Hungary (EU citizenship or valid work visa/permit). For freelancers/contractors: you should be able to establish a contractual relationship with an EU-based company (e.g., have a legal entity or invoicing ability within the EU).
How to Stand Out
- Public GitHub Contributions – A GitHub repository (or similar) with public code that we can review is a big plus. We love seeing examples of your work — open-source projects, experimentations, or anything you’re proud of. It shows us your coding style and passion.
- Startup Experience – Experience working in a startup or on rapid prototyping projects. If you’ve built an app or MVP under tight constraints before, you’ll feel right at home with our projects.
- Interest in AI – Enthusiasm for AI tools and technologies. Since we integrate AI into our development process, an interest or experience in this area is beneficial (though not required).

- Salary: Depending on your skill level we provide a compensation package for our medior developers which is a gross 1.200.000-1.800.000 HUF monthly (equivalent EUR).
