Our client is a technology leader in the betting and gaming industry located in the heart of Melbourne CBD. Its engineering organisation encourages innovation and experimentation challenging perceived limitations of software development engineering. You will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn and be guided directly by a great CTO who has had experience working for some of the largest tech vendors but has also successfully founded/exited multiple start up organisations of their own.


This organisation has seen rapid global growth and expansion and requires a people focused Senior Software Engineering Manager who is confident in leading from the front and act as a player/coach to top calibre engineers.


It is important to note that the organisation allows flexible working hours however requires this leader to be present on-site throughout the working week. The organisation is open to reconsidering this arrangement once all new team members are successfully onboarded and performing to expectations. Domestic and international relocation support will be considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive software engineering experience with a track record of leading large-scale projects.
  • Proven track record in leadership roles, managing and guiding software engineering teams to successful project delivery.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in software development, architecture, and modern technologies (preference will be given to candidates with experience in AWS, Node.js, Go, API Integrations, Kubernetes, React.js, Spelt, GraphQL, and Playwright)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to effectively lead teams and interact with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Strategic mindset aligning technical strategies with business objectives and driving innovation within the team.
