Senior Backend Developer (f/m/x) in AUSTRIA

You are a seasoned, self-motivated developer with 3-5 years of software engineering experience.

You will develop and OWN different backend services – you build it, you ship it, and you run it!

Cloud-native deployments, Kubernetes, GitOps – you have used it all.

This job role is primarily located in Vienna, Austria.

If relocation within the EU is required, we support this process.

The job language is primarily English – German is an advantage.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and Own Backend Services and APIs
• Develop backend services using languages such as Golang, Python, or TypeScript.
• Work within a Kubernetes-based cloud deployment on Google Cloud (GKE) and on-premise.
• Write and maintain clean tests and automated deployment pipelines.
• Lead incident response efforts with the team, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to ensure service reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape the company’s future product roadmap.
• Stay up to date with modern backend technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience in one or more of the following languages: Golang, Python, TypeScript, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker, preferably in Google Cloud (GKE).
• Understanding of GraphQL and REST API best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or equivalent experience.

Preferred

• Proficiency in multiple programming languages is a plus.
• Familiarity with networking concepts, cloud services, and infrastructure as code.
