Location: Tokyo, Japan (Full Remote)

Salary: ¥6,290,000 - ¥10,790,000 annually

Job Description

Our client is looking for Software Engineers and Lead Engineers to help build and enhance their AI-powered products. You will be responsible for developing both web and mobile applications, working closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative features. The role involves a mix of frontend and backend development, as well as larger-scale technical planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Frontend: Build and optimize SPAs using Vue.js and TypeScript, develop mobile applications with Flutter, improve development infrastructure.
• Backend: Design and develop APIs (Ruby on Rails, Python), optimize batch processing, work with databases, and implement NLP-powered features.
• Collaborate with business development and product teams to drive product and feature evolution.

Development Environment:

• Tech Stack: Vue.js, TypeScript, Ruby on Rails, Python, Terraform, AWS (ECS, Cognito, SQS, SES), Datadog
• Work in feature-based teams with close collaboration across engineering, product management, and BizDev.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills:

A total of 3+ years of hands-on development and operations experience (Non-professional development experience may be considered depending on relevance.)

Experience with at least one of the following:

• Frontend: Web frontend development using SPA frameworks (Vue.js, React, Angular, etc.) + TypeScript.
• Backend: Development of web APIs (Rails, Django, Laravel, Go, etc.) + batch processing development.
• Advanced ~ Business level Japanese proficiency

Preferred:

• Experience as a tech lead or lead engineer.
• Participation in tech communities (blogs, presentations, etc.).
• Experience with mobile app development.
• Collaboration experience with product managers and designers.
