Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a rapidly evolving technology stack across platforms like Django and AWS infrastructure with Terraform.
• Drive backend architecture decisions ensuring scalability, security, and performance in line with product needs.
• Propose and implement cloud-based solutions to solve complex, ambiguous challenges.
• Take full ownership of backend feature development, from ideation through to deployment and maintenance.
• Oversee and optimize a DevOps pipeline to facilitate continuous integration and rapid deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior developers to uphold clean code principles and backend best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) with 6+ years of professional software development, focusing on backend technologies.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming and experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and database architectures.
• Extensive experience with AWS services, including compute, storage, and networking, and hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure management.
• Proven experience in developing secure backend systems and maintaining SOC2 compliance.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work in a flexible, iterative environment and drive team alignment across interconnected projects.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Machine Learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Familiarity with Databricks for data processing and analytics.

Salary Rate: $130-160k/year
