IT Functional / Business Analyst (relocation to Belgium) in PORTUGAL

We are looking for a talented IT Functional / Business Analyst who is willing to relocate to join our Client’s team in Brussels, Belgium.

Role Overview

As an experienced Business Analyst, you will join a multidisciplinary Agile team focused on delivering value through developing investment dashboards used by customers for oversight on their investment products. Your role will involve collaborating with onshore and offshore team members to define requirements, processes, and solutions in alignment with high-quality standards and organizational objectives. Working within a complex ecosystem, your expertise will help ensure the reliability and responsiveness of middleware applications that interact with other banking services.

Mission & Challenges

• Support the squad’s objective of maintaining high-responsivity, availability, and reliability for Java middleware applications used across the bank.
• Navigate a complex application landscape by thoroughly understanding interactions between systems.
• Ensure a high standard of development, documentation, and testing in line with Agile principles.

Main Responsibilities

Do:

• Define business specifications and user stories.
• Create functional analysis documents.
• Develop processes and align stakeholders.
• Identify dependencies and risks.
• Define release and test strategies.

Participate:

• Contribute to the Change Approach definition.
• Support architecture alignment and legal compliance.

Technical Environment

• Tech Stack: Java 8, Spring 4 / Spring Boot, Kafka, Flink, Cucumber / Gherkin, JUnit, Lombok, Java SQL Library, Maven, Groovy (for Jenkins pipelines).
• Tools: Jenkins, Git, Wiremock, Intellij IDEA, Octane.
• Experience with HttpEntity / ResponseEntity (Spring REST API libraries) and a strong familiarity with REST libraries is preferred.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proficiency in common development languages used in the domain.
• Excellent understanding of architecture (hardware, OS, networking, databases, middleware).
• Knowledge of methods, standards, and security procedures, as well as development tools.
