Site Reliability Engineer - Blockchain / GoLang / Solidity in EUROPEAN UNION

We are collaborating with an innovative blockchain lab pioneering advanced protocols within the Ethereum ecosystem who are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join their dynamic infrastructure team responsible for supporting critical systems powering a blockchain platform and its associated networks.


This will be a very exciting role working on a brand new project with the team.


This role combines site reliability engineering (80%) with software development (20%) to ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and optimized performance at scale.


This is a fully remote opportunity and you must have an active Github account to be considered.


Key Responsibilities:

Site Reliability Engineering (80%)

  • Ensure infrastructure reliability and automate maintenance using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes operators.
  • Build cloud-agnostic solutions and manage RPC/validator nodes.
  • Optimize pub-sub infrastructure for latency and throughput.
  • Monitor, trace, and automate recovery processes.

Software Development (20%)

  • Develop infrastructure abstractions and CLI tools for system operations.
  • Build engines for transaction simulations and event pipelines for monitoring.
  • Contribute to indexers and blockchain event aggregation pipelines.


Key Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Golang with a solid background in backend development.
  • Expertise in Linux systems, distributed architectures, and debugging bottlenecks.
  • Strong knowledge of SRE principles, including monitoring, error budgets, and incident management.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, CI/CD processes, and internet infrastructure services (e.g., DNS, HTTP).
  • Excellent communication skills in English.


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Kubernetes ecosystems (operators, controllers, CRDs).
  • Familiarity with pub-sub systems like NATS, Kafka, or Pulsar.
  • Hands-on experience with storage, caching, and cloud services (AWS or equivalent).
  • Automation of operations using tools like Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
