About the Role: As a 2D Game Artist, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our games to life through
stunning visuals. You will collaborate closely with our team to create captivating graphics, from
characters and environments to user interfaces. We are seeking a versatile and creative
individual who can adapt to various art styles and contribute to the overall artistic vision of our
projects. Your ability to mentor junior artists and your passion for gaming will be essential to
your success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in the creation of high-quality graphics for the company's games, contributing to both original designs and refinements of existing assets.
- Develop textures, illustrations, and visual concepts tailored to project requirements, ensuring alignment with the artistic vision.
- Demonstrate versatility and creativity by adapting to various graphic styles, including pixel art, cartoon, realism, and illustration.
- Uphold quality standards in all deliverables, ensuring compliance with expectations set by Leads and Art Managers.
- Provide mentorship to junior artists, offering guidance and constructive feedback to enhance their skills and performance.
- Visualize abstract concepts and work collaboratively with the team to execute projects of varying scale and complexity.
- Maintain and update existing assets while creating visual content for marketing initiatives.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Hiring Manager.
Requirements:
- Passion for Gaming: Strong motivation and enthusiasm for video games, with a solid understanding gaming culture and industry trends.
- Design Proficiency: Ability to create engaging designs for backgrounds, characters, user interfaces (UI), user experiences (UX), and logos.
- Animation Skills: Advanced proficiency with Wacom tablets and Spine animation tools.
- Technical Expertise: Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, visual effects (VFX), and artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
- Project Management Tools: Advanced knowledge of project management software, including Jira, Confluence, and Zeplin.
- Versatility: Independent and adaptable, capable of designing both characters and environments.
- Organizational Abilities: Detail-oriented and methodical, able to manage ambitious project goals and ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
- Technical Pipeline Knowledge: Solid understanding of the technical pipeline and processes involved in game development.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with various game genres, platforms, and technologies.
- Animation Skills: Basic animation skills are preferred.
- Communication Skills: Basic proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively.
