We are expanding our teams in the Space sector to take on Space Surveillance projects.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

In our team you will work on the development of ground infrastructure for CNES (French Space Agency) in the Space Surveillance domain.

Among other functions, you will need to:

  • Analyse and solve problems in applications (mostly Java-based, but not only) of the flight dynamics and space surveillance domains (orbit propagation, manoeuvres computation, orbit determination, collision avoidance, re-entry analysis...) such as:
  • Distributed computing:
  • Parallel multiprocessing design, synchronisation and optimisation using SLURM.
  • Data synchronisation and between computation nodes using SQL database (Hibernate/PostgreSQL/MySQL).
  • Cluster distributed filesystems
  • Development environment (Eclipse, plug-ins, maven,…)
  • Provide a first-level IT support to the client
  • Design, develop and validate new functionalities in already existing or new applications of the above-mentioned domains to match the client’s needs
  • Update or create the technical documentation (installation manual, user manual, design document…)
  • HW infrastructure maintenance

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for software engineers with background and knowledge of:

  • Unix/Linux OS: Medium
  • Java: Medium/high
  • Java technologies (maven, Eclipse,…): Medium
  • Software design (RSA, Enterprise Architect, SQL Power Architect,…): Basic-medium
  • Data persistence (Hibernate, SQL DB, binaries…): Medium
  • Parallel/distributed computing (SLURM): Basic-medium
  • Algorithm analysis and development: Basic/medium
  • Web applications development (Spring-web): Basic/medium
  • Configuration Management (SVN, GIT): Medium

We will also value previous experience, and knowledge in:

  • CI environment (Jenkins, Jira, Gitlab, …)
  • Dockers, Kubernettes
  • Spring boot ( web, web-sockets, cloud, ldap, security)
  • Thymeleaf
  • JQuery
  • Other languages (C, C++, Fortran)
  • Applied maths & physics
  • Flight dynamics
