About Oleve

Oleve is building a family of iconic consumer software products that enable everyone to live a better, more fulfilling, and more productive life. We’re a small, focused team in NYC who’ve cracked the code on building and scaling products that people actually want. With two successful products already reaching millions of users—Quizard AI and Unstuck AI—and more in the pipeline for 2025, we’re looking for driven individuals to help us keep innovating and improving on all fronts.

About the Role

We’re seeking a Full Stack Infrastructure Engineer (Contract) to supercharge our internal development engines. In this role, you’ll create and refine the tooling, processes, and infrastructure that power every product we launch—including reusable backend frameworks, front-end component libraries and cloud deployment setups. You’ll play a vital part in reducing costs, improving developer velocity, and streamlining engineering workflows across the entire organization. By building out scalable systems and optimizing current ones, you’ll ensure our teams can iterate faster, ship more reliably, and keep delivering top-notch experiences to the 5 million+ users around the world. If you’re excited by the challenge of enhancing every layer of the development stack—and seeing your impact ripple across the organization—then this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance Tooling & Systems: Build and maintain the backend blueprint tooling, front-end reusable components, and internal frameworks that accelerate development.
  • Optimize Infrastructure: Identify, refine, and scale infrastructure solutions to reduce costs (COGS) and eliminate waste in our cloud and data environments.
  • Improve Developer Velocity: Collaborate with the engineering team to streamline workflows, centralize dashboards, and speed up the path from code to production.
  • Iterate on Existing Processes: Audit current tools and pipelines to spot inefficiencies and propose improvements that make everyone’s work faster and smoother.
  • Ensure Reliability & Maintainability: Develop well-documented, clean, and maintainable solutions that can be easily adopted by other teams.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with leadership and other engineers to prioritize tasks and align infrastructure goals with our broader product roadmap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent proficiency demonstrated through professional experience
  • 3+ years of professional full-stack development experience, ideally touching infrastructure and DevOps
  • Strong foundation in Python (Flask/FastAPI), MongoDB, React/React Native, TypeScript, and JavaScript
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deployments
  • Excellent English communication skills—able to document processes and explain complex topics clearly
  • Comfort with agile methodologies and the Git workflow for efficient, collaborative engineering
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a knack for finding creative ways to reduce costs and boost productivity
  • Preferred, but not required: Prior work experience with Terraform
  • Bonus: Prior startup experience or a willingness to take on multiple roles and responsibilities.

What We Offer

  • More ownership and autonomy than anywhere else you've worked before
  • Flexible (fully remote) work arrangements and competitive contract compensation
  • We’ll fly you down to (help with any visas needed) to company retreats at exciting locations worldwide
  • Opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge infrastructure and impact millions of users by supporting innovative consumer software products
  • Collaboration with a close-knit team committed to building iconic software for the whole world
