Hiire is helping Funcom to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer for their Engineering team.

Your Mission in Funcom

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Funcom, you will be in charge of ensuring we deliver a good quality of service to our players. You'll be responsible for building, maintaining, and improving the infrastructure and servers that support our games, managing comprehensive monitoring systems, and responding to incidents based on player feedback and stakeholder requests.

How You Can Have An Impact In Your Position

  • Manage and maintain game servers, ensuring they are configured and deployed for optimal performance and maximum uptime;
  • Address and resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to avoid future occurrences;
  • Monitor system performance, identifying areas for improvement to enhance the overall gaming experience;
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline infrastructure deployment and scale platforms as needed;
  • Collaborate with the player support team to resolve issues reported by players efficiently;
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including QA, Automation, and Production, to integrate new changes and deliver the best possible experience to our player community;

We Are Looking For You To Have

  • Expertise in setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters;
  • Strong skills in managing and diagnosing issues with Elastic Search;
  • Deep understanding of Linux, with the ability to identify and resolve performance issues;
  • Good knowledge of RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, and networking, as well as experience with Terraform and Ansible scripting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps role;
  • Proficiency in English;
  • Strong motivation and excellent communication skills;
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
