The Role:
We're seeking a Lead/Senior Backend Programmer to play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the backend infrastructure that powers our mobile games. Your expertise will ensure our backend systems are robust, scalable, and optimized to deliver a seamless gaming experience, directly impacting player satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Server-Side Systems: Construct scalable server-side features and systems for gameplay, social functionalities, and more, ensuring dynamic and engaging games.
- Performance Optimization: Lead the monitoring and enhancement of our backend infrastructure for scalability and reduced latency, ensuring a smooth player experience.
- Data Management and Security: Design and implement secure, efficient databases for game data storage, applying rigorous security measures to protect against unauthorized access and ensure data protection compliance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with game designers, frontend developers, and artists to align server-side systems with game design and user experience objectives.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Provide expert backend support to identify and resolve issues, maintaining optimal game performance and stability.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest server-side technologies and game development best practices to drive innovation in game performance and user experience.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in server-side programming using C#.
- Extensive experience with SQL and NoSQL database management systems and implementing secure data storage solutions.
- Expertise in REST API design and implementation, and a solid understanding of network protocols.
- Skilled in cloud computing, particularly Azure, including deployment, scaling, and management of cloud resources.
- Fundamental knowledge of server security principles.
- Proven track record in building and operating scalable live game backends.
- Adeptness at developing player databases with session management, and experience with various identity providers.
- Open to work in an environment exploring new technologies including AI.
- Passion for games.
The following are considered as a plus:
- Experience creating web dashboards for internal use, e.g., for live-ops management.
