ABN AMRO is transforming its Asset Liability Management (ALM) technology domain, and we're looking for an experienced Python Developer to join our forward-thinking team. ALM is a critical function within the bank, responsible for managing the total balance sheet, focusing on interest rate, liquidity, and capital risk.
Role Overview
In a dynamic Agile DevOps environment, you will collaborate with a team of versatile engineers and business developers. Your work will directly support key stakeholders, including the board of directors, various business segments, and regulatory bodies such as the DNB and ECB. Your contributions will be essential in addressing questions like "How vulnerable are we to interest rate changes?" and "Is our liquidity buffer sufficient?"
Key Responsibilities
- ETL Processes: Design, implement, and rigorously test ETL processes to ensure robust data handling.
- Test Automation: Advance our test automation practices with a shift-left mindset to improve the development landscape.
- Operational Tasks: Automate and optimize daily, weekly, and monthly operational tasks to enhance efficiency.
- Data Analysis: Provide in-depth data analysis to assess the impact of process changes and support stakeholder decision-making.
- Azure Infrastructure: Manage the deployment, maintenance, and access control of our Azure infrastructure.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines to streamline deployments.
- Incident Management: Take ownership of incidents, working closely with the team to resolve issues promptly.
- Knowledge Sharing: Actively exchange technical knowledge and foster a learning culture within the team.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve cohesive and integrated solutions.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Python Proficiency: Expert-level Python skills with a deep understanding of object-oriented principles.
- ETL Expertise: Strong grasp of ETL best practices and data engineering methodologies.
- Spark Experience: Hands-on experience with Spark and distributed computing, preferably in Databricks.
- Cloud Technologies: Proficiency with cloud technologies, especially Azure.
- Integration Tools: Experience with data integration and orchestration tools like Azure Data Factory or Apache Airflow.
- SQL Skills: Strong SQL and relational database skills.
- CI/CD Knowledge: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps and YAML.
- Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems like Git.
- Solution Development: Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Testing Practices: Familiarity with automated unit, integration, and regression testing.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with a willingness to expand knowledge in the Finance & Risk domain.
- Communication: Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborative and coaching mindset, with the ability to share knowledge and work effectively within a team.

Offer
- Inititial 12 month contract assignment with option to extension.
