The Role
We’re seeking a Technical Sourcer to join our Talent Fulfilment Team and lead the sourcing of exceptional software developers, engineers, tech leads, and other engineering talent for our Elastic Team Community. This role is ideal for someone skilled at identifying, engaging, and attracting freelance tech talent, who can passionately share Distributed’s vision and manage the end-to-end sourcing process. You’ll play a vital role in connecting our Community of skilled freelancers with exciting projects for our enterprise and government clients.
Responsibilities
Source and identify top-tier software developers, engineers, and technical talent from our Community and beyond to meet active and upcoming project demands.
Manage the full sourcing lifecycle: proactively build and maintain talent pipelines for the Elastic Team Community to meet current and future project needs (e.g., 20-30 candidates monthly), conduct initial outreach, and carry out in-depth technical screening interviews.
Work with Talent Fulfilment Leads, Delivery, and Customer Success teams to understand project role requirements and provide insights into the tech talent market.
Utilise tools like LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing platforms to engage active and passive candidates, ensuring a robust and diverse talent pool.
Keep candidate data in ATS and CRM systems accurate and up to date, maximising their use for strategic planning.
Build relationships with candidates, sharing an engaging story about Distributed’s mission to attract freelance talent.
Requirements
Proven experience in technical sourcing or recruitment, ideally from a high-growth start-up focused on technology or software development, though we welcome adaptable talent from diverse backgrounds.
Extensive knowledge of the UK, EMEA, Africa, and India contract markets, with a keen understanding of the approaches needed to attract freelance software developers and engineers.
Expert-level proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools, with a proven track record of engaging top technical talent.
Comfortable using ATS and CRM tools, understanding their importance for pipeline management and data accuracy; familiarity with modern ATS systems, ideally TeamTailor, and AI-driven sourcing tools is a plus.
Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel for data analysis, with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems.
Experience in DEI sourcing strategies to build diverse talent pipelines, ensuring representation from underrepresented groups in tech.
Excellent written and persuasive communication skills to convey Distributed’s story and build rapport across cultures with candidates and stakeholders.
