UKG Pro Functional Consultant


Next Ventures are currently looking to add a UKG Pro functional consultant to our existing UKG team for our clients in Sweden.


This is a fully remote working role , with the odd client visit for workshop / Team meet up etc.


6-12 months contract

Part of 3 year Global program.


We are looking for a highly skilled UKG Pro Consultant to design, configure, and implement UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM) solutions for enterprise clients. The consultant will ensure seamless system integration, process optimization, and compliance with organizational requirements.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in UKG Pro WFM modules, including Timekeeper, Accruals, Scheduling, Leave, and Attendance, and possess strong analytical, technical, and communication skills to align business needs with system functionality.


Key Responsibilities:


UKG Pro WFM Design & Implementation:

Configure and implement UKG Pro WFM modules (Timekeeper, Accruals, Scheduling, Leave, and Attendance).

Develop technical solutions to align with business requirements and industry best practices.

Ensure seamless integration of UKG Pro with HR, Payroll, and other enterprise systems.

Manage system customization, workflows, business rules, and automation.

Conduct system testing, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and go-live support.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Business Analysis:

Work closely with business analysts, HR teams, and key stakeholders to understand workforce management needs.

Translate business requirements into functional system configurations and designs.

Provide expert recommendations for process improvements and efficiency gains.

Technical Documentation & Quality Assurance:

Create and review functional and technical documentation, including system design, test cases, and user guides.

Develop and execute test plans to validate system performance and functionality.

Troubleshoot system issues, implement solutions, and provide post-implementation support.


Key Skills & Qualifications:


Technical & Functional Expertise:

10+ years of hands-on experience in UKG Pro WFM configuration and support.

Expertise in Timekeeper, Accruals, Scheduling, Leave, Attendance, and Payroll integration.

Strong understanding of UKG Pro API, data flows, and integration with third-party systems.

Experience in developing business rules, workflows, and automation within UKG Pro.

Ability to evaluate system issues and provide effective resolutions.


Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:

Strong ability to analyze complex business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Experience in process improvement, optimization, and compliance alignment.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to collaborate with HR, IT, Payroll, and Finance teams to ensure system efficiency.

Strong presentation and documentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.


Knowledge of workforce compliance regulations and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

UKG Pro Certification (preferred but not mandatory).

Experience in HRIS, Payroll, or Workforce Analytics systems.

Experience with SQL, API integrations, and custom reporting.
