As a Product Owner you would be responsible for managing the development of assigned SQEPtech products, owning the product roadmaps, and translating these roadmaps into actionable development activities. This role bridges strategic planning with tactical execution, ensuring that product development aligns with SQEPtech’s goals and customer needs. 


As a Product Owner, you will: 

  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps. 
  • Manage the development backlog and prioritise tasks effectively. 
  • Create detailed user stories and EPICs to guide development activities. 
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure products meet customer and market expectations. 


This role requires the ability to switch seamlessly between detailed project management tasks and a strategic overview of product goals, driving continuous improvement and innovation.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as a product expert, product evangelist, and the voice of the customer
  • Work cross-functionally to gather Responsibilities, customer feedback, and communicate priorities
  • Create mockups and prototypes to assist with development
  • Analyse metrics to understand customer and product performance
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps that align with business goals and customer needs. 
  • Manage and prioritise the product development backlog, ensuring clear alignment with the roadmap. 
  • Create detailed and actionable user stories, EPICs, and acceptance criteria to guide development activities. 
  • Work with your peers and senior developers on product architecture and cloud infrastructure, including identifying opportunities for adding/utilising new cloud platform features (for example OpenAI backend) 
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, ensuring alignment on goals and addressing blockers effectively.
  • Manage project tools, such as kanban boards, to track and communicate development progress. 


You are someone who has:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, or experience that is equivalent 
  • Demonstrated experience in product ownership or management, with a focus on HRIS SaaS products. 
  • Strong understanding of product management methodologies and tools. 
  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and best practices. 
  • Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders to deliver high-quality products. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. 
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Effective time management and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proficiency in translating strategic product goals into actionable development tasks.
