Location: Fully Remote

Are you an experienced SQL DBA looking for a challenging and rewarding role with a market-leading company? If you have strong expertise in SQL Server along with a solid understanding of SSRS and SSAS, this opportunity is for you! Experience with SSIS and T-SQL is a plus but not essential.

The Role

Joining a team of four and reporting directly to the SQL Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems. You’ll play a key role in ensuring adherence to IT SLAs, KPIs, and performance measures while handling the day-to-day operational responsibilities of a SQL DBA.

Key Responsibilities

Database Management

• Manage and configure SQL Server databases (SQL Server 2017 certification or similar is advantageous).
• Monitor system health and performance, including trend analysis.
• Ensure high availability, security, and sustainability of database systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in real time.
• Provide optimisation suggestions and refine automated processes.

Support & Collaboration

• Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployments.
• Act as a technical escalation point for the support team.
• Ensure proactive issue resolution and maintain up-to-date IT knowledgebase.

Continuous Improvement & Projects

• Identify process improvements and recommend system enhancements.
• Contribute to technical oversight on projects.
• Deliver high-quality project work in line with agreed objectives.
