Job Description:
The Category Manager of Product Marketing will play a pivotal role in overseeing product lifecycle management, ensuring strategic oversight from concept to commercialization across multiple product categories.
The Multiple-Category Product Marketing Manager works with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, profitable, and successful project completions across multiple product categories, aligning with company goals and objectives. This position is responsible for the strategic development, management, and implementation of new products and projects, including both manufactured and sourced goods, spanning multiple product categories.
This manager should bring to the table prior experience in product commercialization, ideally in the CPG space, with a demonstrated ability to oversee and manage multiple categories simultaneously. Business proposals, product design direction, costing, marketing collaboration, and presentations are all parts of the development process for which this role is responsible. A significant part of this role is partnering with the Sales and Finance teams to support and strategize key retailer line reviews and seasonal offerings across various categories.
Further, this position synthesizes research and information from many different sources to provide guidance on Lodge’s overarching product development path, ensuring alignment across different product categories. This role will require strong analytical skills and a keen understanding of category management, consumer insights, and market trends to drive strategic decision-making.
This position may also be responsible for managing and delegating project management tasks to Product Managers and Associate Product Managers, ensuring efficiency in execution and proper alignment with the strategic goals of each product category.
Communicating timelines and expectations across the organization is a key priority of this position. As the owner for multiple categories, this person will be responsible for creating presentations and presenting in front of both internal and external audiences. Additionally, this role will ensure that their direct leadership and other organizational leads are aligned and informed about strategic approaches, facilitating a unified vision for product development.

• Oversee product strategies across multiple product categories to support organizational goals and the product roadmap.

• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure projects across multiple categories are on schedule and successful.
• Serve as the primary owner of project scheduling in the system, ensuring that the team has accurate and up-to-date project statuses and timelines.
• Partner closely with Sales and Finance to strategically support key retailers (costing, category-specific strategy, and presentations).
• Proactively and consistently communicate project objectives and timing clearly across the organization, ensuring alignment across categories.
• Deliver on net sales and profitability goals for new products and organizational objectives across multiple product lines.
• Run departmental sales reporting and analysis, applying insights to refine category strategies.
• Understand the Lodge brand and our go-to-market strategy across multiple product categories.
• Create presentations for internal and external use, adapting messaging to different audiences and product
categories.
• Confidently present to both internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating expertise in category
trends and performance.
• Manage complexity in balancing multiple product lines and categories, ensuring alignment with company
strategy and business goals. • All other tasks as assigned.
Basic Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
• 5-7years of product management experience, with at least 2 years of consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry is highly desirable.
