To support our growth and further enhance our mobile solutions, we are seeking a Freelance Mobile App Developer with expertise in Flutter (legacy apps) and React Native, primarily for Android development (with some iOS).

Your Challenges and Responsibilities

As a Freelance Mobile App Developer, you will contribute to our mobile app development initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of geospatial technology into our applications. Your responsibilities will include:

• Legacy App Optimization: Maintain, update, and optimize existing Flutter applications.
• New Feature Development: Enhance functionality and develop new features in React Native applications.
• Geospatial Integration: Work with mapping APIs, GIS tools, and location-based services to improve app functionality.
• Android Development Focus: Optimize apps for Android performance, efficiency, and compatibility across devices.
• Code Quality & Best Practices: Conduct code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to maintain high-quality standards.
• Cross-Platform Development: Occasionally contribute to iOS development when needed.
• Collaboration: Work closely with our geospatial data scientists, engineers, and UX designers to create innovative mobile solutions.

Must Have

Education & Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in mobile app development.
• Proficiency in Flutter (especially legacy apps) and React Native.
• Strong experience with Android development (Java/Kotlin knowledge is a plus).
• Previous experience in GIS, mapping APIs, or location-based services (Google Maps, Mapbox, OpenLayers, etc.).

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in integrating RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and real-time data sources.
• Familiarity with state management solutions (Bloc, Provider, Redux, etc.).
• Strong debugging and performance optimization capabilities.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps.

Soft Skills & Work Approach:

• Ability to work independently and manage project timelines efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with remote teams.
• Availability to visit our Milan office occasionally (preferred, but not mandatory).
