Ordinary Folk seeks to reimagine the building blocks of healthcare through two distinct brands:
- Noah: Enables men to receive remote diagnosis and treatment across various areas of care.
- Zoey: Offers women’s sexual wellness and fertility products and services, supporting them through life’s pivotal moments.
We operate across Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan, delivering thoughtful, user-centric healthcare experiences.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Designer who can serve as the visual visionary for our organisation. You will be the primary designer collaborating across brand, marketing, and product teams. In addition to crafting compelling visual assets for campaigns and communications, you will drive the evolution of our brand identity and oversee the aesthetic quality of our digital products (web and mobile). Working closely with the founder and Head of Marketing, you will help shape and refine the creative direction of Ordinary Folk and our brands.
This is not a role for someone who simply executes tasks; we need a creative leader with a strong point of view—someone who can champion a cohesive visual narrative across all channels. You’ll have a hand in everything from developing brand campaigns to refining UI/UX, ensuring that our design principles remain consistent, innovative, and user-focused.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Marketing Alignment
- Establish and maintain comprehensive visual brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all marketing collateral, digital campaigns, and brand communications.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualise and produce graphics, social media assets, and promotional materials aligned with strategic brand initiatives.
- Translate brand and marketing strategies into captivating visual concepts that reinforce our core identity and messaging.
2. Product & UI Design
- Design and iterate on user interfaces for web and mobile platforms, ensuring usability, accessibility, and a cohesive visual style.
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and UX researchers to create prototypes, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs that enrich the user journey.
- Conduct design reviews and usability tests, refining interfaces based on user feedback and data-driven insights.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a creative conduit between marketing and product teams, ensuring that design decisions meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Participate in ideation sessions, bringing fresh, forward-thinking ideas to the table that blend brand storytelling with user-centred design.
- Advocate for design excellence and consistency throughout the organisation.
4. Strategic Thinking & Innovation
- Keep abreast of emerging design trends, technologies, and best practices in both marketing and digital product design.
- Propose creative solutions that balance business objectives, user needs, and brand vision.
- Continually refine design processes and workflows to foster efficiency, innovation, and collaboration.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional design experience, with a portfolio showcasing both marketing/branding projects and digital product design.
- Fluency in Cantonese and English (proficiency in Traditional Chinese is preferred), reflecting our operational markets.
- Proven expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, or equivalent design tools.
- Strong grasp of user-centred design principles, typography, colour theory, and visual storytelling.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain design decisions to stakeholders from non-design backgrounds.
- Experience working in agile, asynchronous, and cross-functional environments is a plus.
