We are expanding our teams in the Aerospace sector to take on projects related to the field of Space Surveillance and Tracking (SST), where GMV is recognised as a world leader in collaboration by organizations such as the European Union Space Surveillance and Tracking consortium (EUSST), commercial satellite operators and the European Space Agency (ESA).

We´ll get to the point; we'll tell you what's not on the web. If you want to know more about us go to GMV website.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

You will be part of the GMV Romania team, where we are at the forefront of groundbreaking projects, leading the CREAM (Conjunction Risk Estimation and Automated Mitigation) initiative, a cutting-edge effort to improve the safety and sustainability of space.

As a space safety engineer, you will carry out the analysis and assessment of conjunction scenarios, leveraging tools and algorithms to predict and mitigate potential collisions; you will design and implement collision avoidance strategies, ensuring optimal spacecraft performance and safety. You will develop software, translating complex space safety concepts into clean, maintainable and scalable code, seamlessly integrating them into existing systems.

Working in harmony within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the development and integration of innovative solutions that improve space security, keeping abreast of advances in space security methodologies and contributing to the evolution of state-of-the-art technologies.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

For this position, we are looking for engineers in aerospace, telecommunications, computer science, or related fields with strong ability to bridge the gap between advanced space concepts and software development, solid understanding of space security issues and proficiency in programming languages relevant to the field (e.g. Python, Java, Fortran or similar).

Previous experience, and knowledge of conjunction risk analysis and mitigation strategies, as well as the ability to develop solutions that integrate seamlessly into broader systems and workflows will also be an asset.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

🕑 Hybrid working model and 8 weeks per year of teleworking outside your usual geographical area.

💻 Flexible start and finish times.

🚀 Personalized career plan development, training and language learning support.

🌍 National and international mobility. Do you come from another country? We can offer you a relocation package.

💰 Competitive compensation with ongoing reviews.
