UX/UI Designer - AI Chat UX/UI Specialist

Location: Fully Remote (Asia-friendly working hours, Jakarta time zone)

We are seeking a specialized UX/UI Designer with expertise in designing AI chat interfaces to join our team for Project Z. This luxury hotel booking app features an innovative AI concierge designed to provide high-end travelers with personalized travel assistance. Your primary focus will be on developing a seamless and engaging chat experience akin to state-of-the-art AI systems like ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• User Research and Analysis:

-Understand the needs and preferences of travelers interacting with AI concierges.

-Analyze current industry trends and competitor chat interfaces to identify best practices and design innovations.

• Design of AI Chat Interfaces:

-Develop an intuitive and user-friendly chat interface for the AI concierge feature, supporting both text and voice inputs.

-Ensure the chat interface is visually appealing, reflecting the app's focus on luxury and exclusivity.

• Advanced Interaction Design:

-Define and implement micro-interactions, animations, and visual cues to enhance chat engagement without overpowering the user.

-Design feedback elements for various states of interaction, such as typing indicators, processing animations, and error messages.

• Prototype and Test:

-Create high-fidelity prototypes using Figma to depict realistic chat interactions and flows.

-Iterate designs based on feedback, focusing on usability and the overall chat experience.

• Collaboration and Handoff:

-Work closely with our development team to ensure the chat interface is implemented as designed.

-Provide detailed design assets, annotations, and guidelines to facilitate smooth development processes.

Requirements

• Proven track record in designing effective UX/UI for AI chatbots or conversational interfaces, with a portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
• Strong understanding of AI chat functionality, user behavior in chat interactions, and design patterns utilized by platforms like ChatGPT.
• Proficiency in Figma and the ability to work with existing UI kits and design systems.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with development and product teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
